Week 1 Experiment 2

 House at Bordeaux

The House at Bordeaux is a simple and complex house at the same time. It consists of three levels the bottom floor built into the ground middle floor is transparent mainly glass and the third is split into several rooms. The house is kind of ironic as it was built for a disabled person and while it looks as though disabled people wont be able to move around in it, they actually can because of the design and technology in the house.

 Rudin House

The Rudin House looks like a typical kind of house. It is a basic house that many would of thought of when they were little or draw a rectangular prism with a roof and basic windows and doors. The house is a mix between the past and present although it look like an old fashioned house with and attic and chimney it is also very modern with a bathroom that is a vertical cross-section.

Barcelona Pavillion

The Barcelona Pavilion is another simple building. It has a range of extravagant materials such as marble, red onyx and travertine. The building was not a home as such but it was mainly used for exhibitions because is was such a wide open space.
